Unimus is written in Java, and requires a JRE (Java Runtime Environment) to run.
How to install Java depends on your particular OS / distro (as mentioned above, JRE is sufficient, Unimus does not need the JDK).

However, please ensure you install Java 8 or 11 for Unimus version 2.5.0 or older.
Java 17 is also supported starting from version 2.5.1 (as mentioned above, JRE is sufficient, Unimus does not need the JDK)1.
