The Config search feature in Unimus enables large-scale device configuration lookups, allowing you to audit and validate your network configuration.

There are two ways to use Config search:

Search results can be saved, downloaded, exported in multiple formats, or shared via email and Slack.

Search parameters

When running a Config search, you can define parameters that let you choose the search type, scope, and filtering options to quickly find exactly what you need.

You can run keyword, invert, or regex searches to locate specific patterns in device configurations:

For invert and regex searches, select the relevant toggle in the search parameters section. For regex examples and a regex cheat sheet, see our dedicated wiki article(link).

Searches can target all devices in Unimus or be narrowed using tags. You can query both current and historical configurations, to determine when a particular configuration first appeared or when it was last present in your network.

Saved searches

You can save Config search queries for quick access to important or frequently used searches.

Each Saved search consists of:

Saved searches can be edited, manually re-run, or scheduled to run automatically at regular intervals.

For unscheduled Saved searches, the results shown are from the last time the search was run, which may be outdated. You can apply a custom schedule so Unimus automatically runs the search for you, ensuring the results are always up-to-date.
